About
My Story
I was born & raised in Decatur, Illinois, and I’m currently based Chicagoland, studying at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
The lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met & experiences I’ve had at Northwestern have taught me an abundance about today’s media & public relations landscape.
I’m confident that my education is preparing me for a successful future in the field.

While on campus, I’ve embraced the value of hands-on learning.
With Northwestern News Network, I’ve reported stories across beats, appeared on air & produced shows as an Executive Producer, Reporter & Anchor. I’ve also served as the TV station’s Technical Director, using Ross production technology to create industry-standard newscasts.
I’ve also spent time with campus radio station WNUR News, creating audio spots, producing on-air radio shows & eventually managing coverage and staff as the station’s Executive Producer.
I’ve always loved to write, but Medill instructors with rich real-world experience have helped me build a vast library of reporting techniques for a variety of mediums and styles.
During a summer break away from Northwestern, I returned home & engaged with the town I grew up in as a NowDecatur.com Newsroom Intern.
Everything I produced was rooted in community, teaching me the value of a well-told story.
Whether it’s a 44-year-old musical tradition, the nation’s largest agriculture show or a speaker at the public library, each of my stories aimed to positively impact the greater Decatur area.

I’ve also worked on full-scale marketing campaigns for Northwestern Student Affairs’ 30+ departments as a Multimedia Communications Intern.
My photo, video, and digital animation campaigns reach audiences as large as an entire incoming class or NU’s Board of Trustees.
I regularly create content for @northwesternu’s Instagram page, regularly gaining 40,000+ engagements.
I’m always looking for my next adventure.
